joltick:

why genderbends are transphobic: a tl;dr version

  • they assume every character is cis by default
  • 99.9% of the time nonbinary identities are ignored and the only two genders used are male and female
  • they imply that in order for someone to be a certain gender, their body has to change to fit it (i.e., a character can’t go from male to female without having wider hips and breasts)
  • they imply physical characteristics = gender
  • all of the above are examples of cissexism, which perpetuates the marginalization and erasure of trans people
  • stop arguing with trans people about whether genderbends are transphobic or not, especially if you’re cis
  • the end

if i fuck up anything in our post — be it a major point of your character history or just a tiny, nitpicky error — please go ahead and let me know. or if anything i wrote makes you uncomfortable as the writer i’ll change it immediately, no questions asked. or if my post makes it difficult for you to respond because it just doesn’t give you enough to get those creative juices flowing, that’s ok. i will be happy to provide more creative lubricant. come in my inbox.

NOTICE // i am MUTUALS ONLY !

please don’t send me in character messages if we’re not mutuals.
it’s really uncomfortable for both of us, because i will just delete the message. it’s clear that you’ve not read my rules and that says to me that you don’t respect me or my writing.
you can send me a message OUT OF CHARACTER if you wanted to roleplay ! i’m always open to following new people & creating new threads, but this doesn’t mean i will follow you back. this seems harsh, but this is my blog and these are the rules i’ve set to make myself more comfortable with the roleplaying community.

spacemack:

quick fact: if i’m following you and you’re following me and you see a meme or think of a message, no matter how ridiculous and/or questionably shippy, do it? do it. make that shit happen cap'n it’s what i’m here for

If You Wanna Go After Carol for Killing the Wolf

pookieandcaryl:

Go after Daryl for shooting Dawn after she accidentally killed Beth in reaction to being stabbed and clearly started to express her shock.

Go after Rick for leaving that man on the side of the road to be eaten up by walkers because he was too paranoid to bring anyone back to the prison.

Go after Michonne for killing that man who was clearly crazy because he wouldn’t shut up.

Go after Michonne for killing Ron, who was clearly only gunning for Rick out of grief for what had just happened to his whole fucking family.

Carol was doing what she perceived to be the RIGHT thing.

Just as Rick did.

Just as Daryl did.

Just as Michonne did.

So leave her the fuck alone.

  • me: i swear im gonna respond tomorrow

  • rp partner: okay i'll be looking forward to it!!

  • me: *doesnt respond*

ok I know some people might think it’s weird (I’ve seen some people say that??) but know that I love it when you talk about your muse as if they are a separate entity from yourself. because, to me, they are. I love ic updates, I love it when you tell me how you’re doing and then how your muse is doing, I love when you refer to them in the tags as their own person (i.e. you judging what they say, you commenting on their behavior, etc). this honestly helps me see your muse as far more realistic than I would of otherwise, and this honestly makes me giddy since it’s one step closer to the idea that some of my favorite muses are alive and well. like, I know that they are not, I know that they are a fictional creation and that you are the mastermind behind them, but it’s just – really important for me to see them as more than just words on a screen. when you’re so passionate about their life / interests / personality / moods even when you’re not writing them, it’s just great.

warriorcarols:

this “carol is taking screentime/attention away from [insert other female character here]” mentality that’s been going around recently is so fucking poisonous and anti-feminist and i basically have 0 time for it soooooo
